Vegas Ball Bonanza: Our First Impressions on the Game That's Changing Live Bingo

Vegas Ball Bonanza 1

As we expected, loading up for the Vegas Ball Bonanza for the first time gave us an impressive first impression. We loved the studio design, as well as the big, bold colors this live casino supplier is renowned for. The live presenter is dressed up to match the studio decor and is there to help build anticipation, interact with players in the community chatroom, and commentate on the action as it unfolds.

Taking center stage in the studio is the bingo ball machine. This automatic air-powered tombola will determine whether you win on your bingo cards or lose. This is a physical machine, so results are determined by the laws of physics and not an RNG (random number generator).

As further evidence of the quality production here on Vegas Ball Bonanza are the high-definition video screens that sit behind the bingo ball machine and the live host. We could tell almost instantly that Pragmatic Play has spent a lot of money developing Vegas Ball Bonanza. To the center, you have a screen which displays five reels containing random multiplier values. These reels will randomly determine the numbers that will receive multipliers and the value of those multipliers.

To the left is a screen determining when the Wild symbol is active during a game round. On the right-hand side, you will see a bonus wheel. When the bonus ball is drawn during a round, the bonus wheel spins to determine how many additional balls are drawn for that game round.

Vegas Ball Bonanza Games Specs and Features

Below, we have listed everything you need to know in terms of the specs and features of the Vegas Ball Bonanza game:

  • The Bingo air machine contains 30 numbered balls from 1 to 30.
  • It also contains two additional balls (a Star Ball and a Wild Ball).
  • During each round, up to five balls are randomly chosen to multipliers between 2x and 50x.
  • Nine balls are drawn during a standard game round. However, that number can increase between one and four if the Wild Bonus is triggered.
  • You can choose to buy between one and nine bingo cards each round. You can change the player's bet to what suits.
  • Those cards are 3x3 in size. You win a payout by completing lines horizontally and vertically on the bingo cards. Each card has six lines in total.
  • If you fill all lines on a bingo card, you have a Full House, which will pay 250x your stake on the card.
  • Wins for each card can rise to 20,000x and are capped at £/$/€500,000.
  • The theoretical Vegas Ball Bonanza RTP is 95.97%.
  • You have 12 seconds each round to buy your cards.
  • Table limits range from a minimum of £/$/€0.1 to a maximum of £/$/€900.

How to Play Vegas Ball Bonanza

Vegas Ball Bonanza 2

When testing Vegas Ball Bonanza for this review, we found it offered simpler gameplay when compared to other popular bingo-style games. For example, the maximum number of bingo cards you can buy per round is nine. This makes it easier to keep track of all your cards. It also caps the temptation to buy more. In comparison, you can buy up to 400 in Evolution's Mega Ball.

A Round on Vegas Ball Bonanza

Vegas Ball Bonanza 3

Something else we noticed compared to other live bingo games is how fast-paced Vegas Ball Bonanza is. In fact, in the beginning, we found it too fast as you only have 12 seconds to decide how many cards to purchase and at what stake. Still, this got easier the more we played as we became used to the process and the game's fast-paced nature.

In short, a game round on Vegas Ball Bonanza involves:

  • Selecting Your Cards
  • Waiting until the current round has finished.
  • Selecting the bet amount and the number of cards you want to buy (up to nine).
  • Click on the cards to reveal the nine numbers on each. You can change the cards for new cards if you're not a fan of the numbers you received.
  • With just 12 seconds between rounds, changing multiple cards is unlikely.
  • Once the 12 seconds is up, all your bets are placed, and the draw commences.

As you can see, that is quite a lot of messing around to do in just 12 seconds each round. This is why we eventually used the Autoplay function to buy the same number of cards for the same value for a predetermined number of rounds. Doing that allowed us to sit back and watch rather than rushing to set everything up each time.

Random Multipliers Applied to Randomly Chosen Lucky Numbers

This is the part of each round that we found the most exciting. Well, when there is a chance some of your numbers could have a multiplier of between 2x and 50x assigned, this is understandable.

An RNG determines between 1 and 5 numbers to receive a multiplier within that range. The reels on the screen behind the tombola will spin and stop. The number above each reel determines the number to receive a multiplier. Any reels with a star symbol above means no numbers were selected. Below the numbers is the multiplier value that rolled in.

If any of the same numbers on your cards received a multiplier, these are highlighted on your bingo cards.

Vegas Ball Bonanza Balls Drawn

With your cards bought and the multipliers applied, the Vegas Ball Bonanza draw commences. The bingo machine sucks all the balls before spitting out nine balls (more if the Wild Ball bonus is triggered).

  • Balls drawn are automatically marked off the cards.
  • You watch and wait to see if you win any lines or even a full house or two.
  • Any bets are settled after all balls are drawn, and the process repeats for the next round.

Vegas Ball Bonanza Bonus Rounds

The bonus features differentiate Vegas Ball Bonanza from a regular bingo game. The tombola has two bonus balls on top of the original 30 numbered balls. Below, we take you through what both do when drawn from the bingo ball machine.

Wild Ball Bonus Feature

If the wild bonus ball is drawn from the machine during a Vegas Ball Bonanza round, this will immediately activate the wild bonus feature. The bonus wheel to the right of the tombola, which contains 10 segments, will spin. The segments all contain a number between 1 and 4. That is how many extra balls get drawn from the tombola during that round. Thanks to this bonus round, it is possible to have draws where up to 34 balls are drawn.

The wild bonus ball does not count as one of the original balls to get drawn, so once the number of extra balls is revealed, the game continues as normal.

The Star Ball Bonus Feature

The Star bonus ball is the one all players will want to see come out of the machine. When the Star bonus ball does emerge, it activates all the multiplier numbers on your cards. If a number with a multiplier is drawn in the main game, that multiplier is applied to the standard win you receive on a card. For instance, if you have completed lines on your card and a 50x bonus ball is drawn and used to complete a line, the standard win you would have received on that card is multiplied by 50x.

Even better, if you have multiple multipliers on your card, and those balls are drawn, and you complete lines, those bonus multipliers are multiplied. That is when you can win the truly epic payouts. A single line will give you a payout of 1:1, which is not amazing. However, if you match more lines, this is where you start to make good profits on your card. Just two lines give you 5:1, and 4 lines reward you with 60:1. Get a full house and you're laughing with a 250:1

Imagine landing a 250:1 full house payout and having a maximum multiplier of 50x applied. So, for example, you bought the card for £/$/€1, win £/$/€250 as a standard payout and then £/$/€250 x 50 = £/$/€12,500!

Vegas Ball Bonanza Payouts and RTP

Regarding the Vegas Ball Bonanza payouts, you win a payout whenever you complete at least one line on your card. Each line contains three numbers and each card contains nine numbers. You win prizes each time you complete at least one line horizontally or vertically. The more lines you complete, the bigger those prizes are. As standard, you can win between 1:1 and 250:1 on each card. Then, if the Star bonus comes into play, you could multiply that win by as much as 50x. Then, if you land multiple multipliers on the same card and they come in, you are in heaven!

As for the Vegas Ball Bonanza RTP, you can expect an overall return to play of 95.97%. This is not great compared to other live dealer games, such as Blackjack and Baccarat and is also lower than many video slots. However, that lower RTP is offset by the potential to win some bumper multiplier prizes and have great fun playing.

Vegas Ball Bonanza Compared to Other Games

To offer a better balance about the quality of Vegas Ball Bonanza, we wanted to compare it to some other top-rated live casino games. After all, there are many other great titles out there you might consider playing instead of Vegas Ball Bonanza. For example, other new titles currently available include Snakes & Ladders Live, Monopoly Big Baller, and Everybody's Jackpot Live. Why should you play Vegas Ball Bonanza over those? Let's find out!

Vegas Ball Bonanza Compared to Mega Ball: The most obvious live game to compare with Vegas Ball Bonanza is Mega Ball by Evolution. It is one of the most popular bingo-style games currently available at live casinos. In many ways, the two games are similar as they each have multipliers that can significantly boost the payouts on your cards. Mega Ball has a bonus ball drawn at the end of the round, which can deliver multipliers that can pay out the same maximum win (£/$/€500,000) as on the Vegas Ball Bonanza. The main difference is the number of cards you can buy. This is what will swing your opinion on which game you prefer. Mega Ball allows you to buy up to 400 cards compared to the 9 on Vegas Ball Bonanza. Some of you will find 400 way too many to keep track of, while others will like the ability to bet and potentially win more each round.

Vegas Ball Bonanza Compared to Monopoly Big Baller: This is a combination of Evolution's Monopoly Live and the aforementioned Mega Ball. It is the best option if you're a fan of bonus rounds. The bonuses are fantastic, and for that reason, it is one of our favourite bingo-style games. It features fewer cards than Vegas Ball Bonanza, and the multipliers apply to the lines rather than the cards. This is a tough comparison to call, as both games offer something different. If you like bonus rounds, Monopoly Big Baller is the one. If not, then stick to Vegas Ball Bonanza.

Our Opinion of Vegas Ball Bonanza by Pragmatic Play

Vegas Ball Bonanza is one of those live casino games that initially sounds like it will just give you similar gameplay to the other bingo-style live dealer games on the market. However, as we found out when playing the Vegas Ball Bonanza live casino game, while it does share some familiar mechanics, as you would expect, it also has its uniqueness.

What we enjoyed most was the simplicity of Vegas Ball Bonanza compared to other titles. There are no confusing side bets, hundreds of cards to monitor, or difficult-to-understand rules. You purchase your bingo cards at the bet you want and hope to win prizes as the numbers are drawn. You do not have to do anything else other than watch the live dealer commentator on the action.

The prizes (payouts) are great too. While we didn't land any truly significant wins, we saw that it is possible to do so. If you trigger additional balls and activate the multiplier bonuses, it is possible to land some epic wins. Overall, we really enjoyed playing Vegas Ball Bonanza as you always tend to have a card that wins and has the potential to give you an even better win. The production is as good as you would expect, so yeah, we suggest you give Vegas Ball Bonanza a wheel if you are looking for a chilled live casino game to enjoy.
