However, you do not become such a renowned software developer without taking some risks down the line. The leading software developer has opted to change the mechanics for Money Train 4, and we have to say, we love it.
Money Train 4 uses a 'Scatter Pays System' or 'Pay Anywhere Mechanic' to form winning combinations on its 6x6 grid format during the base game and respins feature. This means that, like scatter symbols that pay when landed in any position on the reels, you receive a payout when you land enough matching regular symbols anywhere in view.
To create a winning combination, you need at least 8 instances of the same symbol for high-paying symbols. That increases to at least 10 instances of the same symbol for the lower payouts. - Collector Payer: The collector payer symbol will randomly choose between 3 and 5 other symbols. It will add their value to its own and then give this updated value to those symbols.
- Persistent Collector Payer: The persistent collector payer performs the above but after all spins and not just one.
- Arms Dealer: The arms dealer will convert 1 to 4 regular bonus symbols into feature symbols before they perform their actions.
- Persistent Arms Dealer: The persistent arms dealer does the above after every spin.
- Necromancer: This will revive between 1 and 7 non-persistent feature symbols. It is possible for the same symbol to get targeted multiple times.
- Persistent Necromancer: A persistent necromancer does the above after every spin.
- Persistent Shapeshifter: After every spin, the persistent shapeshifter will transform and perform the actions of one of the Collector, Sniper, Unlocker, Collector Payer, Arms Dealer, or Payer symbols.
- Unlocker: This will unlock a locked row on the grid.
- Reset Plus: This increases the number of respins you receive after each reset by 1+.
- Upgrader: Will upgrade between 1 and 3 regular feature symbols into persistent versions.
The bonus round continues until you have a combined value of 150,000x or higher or run out of respins. The max payout is capped at 150,000x even if you land a combined multiplier higher than that value.

They also share a similar main feature. For the latter, the latest version has new symbols, making it better than the original feature and all the others in the series (in our opinion). It also helps that the max win is now a whopping 150,000x compared to a total win of 100,000x possible on Money Train 3!
After indulging in sessions with both Money Train 3 and Money Train 4, the distinction was clear. Money Train 4's novel mechanic felt rejuvenating and, frankly, even more rewarding.
